Meet Erica

Welcome! My name is Erica Martucci. I am a New Jersey (USA) high school special education math and science teacher. I teach small group instruction classes. This year I have grades 9 through 12. I also have years several years experience teaching in an inclusion setting with regular education teaching partners. My fiance's name is Mike, and he works as an Enterprise Architect. I have 3 children - Leah (age 19), Jack (age 15) and Aidan (13), who are the light of my life and center of my universe.

I love dance, yoga, theatre, music, elephants, cooking, and eating!! Most of all I love the summer, and spending my days on the sand at the Jersey Shore.

My undergraduate degree is in Special Education from Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ. As a perpetual student, I have completed my graduate degree in Administration and Leadership, with additional graduates towards a Reading Specialist Certification. I have earned my Google Educator certification, as well as a certificate in Flipped Classrooms and Online Learning. I am planning on starting back to school again in the near future - I just love learning so much I cannot decide what I want to study next!
Up until very recently, I was lucky enough to teach dance and tumbling at dance studios in me area, bringing competitive choreography to National Championships. I have also been fortunate to have coached girls tennis and lacrosse, serve as Student Government Advisor, and Spring Musical Choreographer  . I have training in Positive Behavior Support in Schools, Innovative Designs in Education (IDE), developed and oversaw a self-contained behavioral program, and I have developed and spearheaded a new digital data collection system within the school I work in. As you can see, I enjoy keeping busy.
As you peruse through this site, you will see I love creating resources for the 21st century learner active, technology infused, student centered classroom. With the guidance of my good friend Danielle Knight (Study All Knight), Science Interactive World was born in 2015, and since then it has been an awesome adventure!
Thank you so much for visiting. Please remember to follow my blog for updates on, tips, ideas, and resources.
